Saturday afternoon social doubles: 

This is held every Saturday of the year from 1.00pm. Simply turn up on the day, all matches are organised and look forward to a wonderful day of tennis. All levels of player catered for.

$10 per week, afternoon tea supplied

Mixed graded teams competition: These are team competitions where all players of all standards are welcome.

No distinction is made between male and female players, all players are graded accordingly.

Wednesday competition: This competition is held during terms 4 and 1 of the school calendar, and is held during the daytime, followed by afternoon tea.

Thursday competition: This is held in the evening beginning at 7:00pm. Two distinct competitions are held. One during term 4 and the other during term 1 of the calendar year. Supper follows play.

Hot Shots Matchplay

Is your child looking to take their tennis to the next level and play in a fun, friendly environment? Ballarat Lawn Tennis Cub, in partnership Tennis Victoria is delivering a new and exciting junior competition – ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Match Play and we want you to be involved!

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Match Play encourages children to take their first positive step into team based competition tennis.

Key features of ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Match Play include:
• Wednesdays at 4:30 – 6:00 pm
• Round robin format
• Attend casually week by week
• Time friendly format for families that want to start and finish within 90 minutes
• Shortened match format so kids get to play more matches – each match is FAST 4’s, first to 4 games.
• Smaller courts and softer, low pressure balls to suit younger players
• Opportunity for parents to have fun with their kids through on court participation.

Match Play teams are made up of both boys and girls with two or more players per team. Match Play seasons are generally aligned with the school term and run for six to eight weeks.

If your child has already undertaken at least two terms of ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Coaching, ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Match Play is a whole new level of fun.

Match Play is a fun and social way for kids to get into team tennis and is played at Red Ball, Orange Ball and Green Ball level. Kids who become involved in Match Play will learn the basics of game play, as well as scoring.

Match Play teams are made up of both boys and girls with two or more players per team. Match Play seasons are generally aligned with the school term and run for six to eight weeks.

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Match Play is a program designed to give children aged 7-11 years old, who are already playing tennis, the opportunity to transition from learning the game to playing matches in a fun team environment. It is intended to give children a great experience which will enable them to fall in love with the sport, and retain them as lifelong participants.

Ballarat Lawn Tennis Club is a affiliated with the Buninyong and District Junior Competition. Matches in the morning start at 9:00, playing against other clubs each week.

Saturday Morning In-house Ladder Competition

Suitable for Green and Yellow ball junior players. This competition is run by Jenny Jolliffe, phone 0408 735 068. Starts at 9am on Saturdays at the club.
